Two things.
1) does anyone have confirmation of the last 3 wars happening and counting towards the season
2) we’re a 1650ish war rated tier 2 alliance and our matchmaking is giving us a 1853-1869 war rated alliance. I thought the new matchmaking was to match alliances based on war rating more than anything else. This seems a bit extreme

How do you know what alliance you are matched against for today yet. It is before the Attack phase can even start, and opponent is hidden from you before that.

Or are you basing that on +/- Win/Loss potential change to War Rating listed for today ? If so, don’t those also take into consideration the Ally’s Prestige as well as WR ?

I think the higher you get the more it is weighted towards season ranking, at the start of the season our matchups were identical war rating, now they’re close in ranking

Ya see that makes sense but I thought kabam said matchmaking was gonna be solely based on war rating which honestly also makes a lot of sense. Didn’t think they’d have multiple matchmaking algorithms for two different parts of the season

Maybe that was the problem with the last few wars. They were messing around with the match making algorithm.

Actually wondered if you matched us as we are 1860 And P2 but we are not facing the ally directly above us

But looking we have the same thing, we are 1860 vs 1687 and 2 spots ahead of the ally we matched

Wonder if that is because those at the high end have to face 12 teams (normally, lol) altogether, and since the highest teams don’t actually have that many opponents that close to them at all, in order to match they will have to be against some lower WR teams (well, not low, but just lower that the extreme top) and that might propagate downward thru upper tiers too.

Because by definition, the top team doesn’t actually have 6 other teams that are above them WR-wise.

What is the current WR # spread between #1 and #13 ??

ya that's not abnormal but were about 100 alliances apart in the war rating standings.
