Red guardian torch or a very long warlock fight using the armour breaks on the s2 parry and making use of breakthrough to get crazy damage in those few seconds

Warlock won't work with his armor breaks. Man-Thing is made of mush and is immune to armor break/shatter.

Elsa Bloodstone. Finish with light combos and blow that sp2 in his face. Or BWCV who can easily put three debuts on her heavy. Sentinel can also dish out a lot of debuts on his heavy, sp1 and sp2.

Since it's Canadian difficulty, I think it is going to be difficult to keep HT out of Nova form against a mystic once a few smoulders build up on him.

Sentinel sp2 spam with boosts might be able to do it (I managed to do it with a maxed out 4*)

Black Widow - heavies do 3 debuffs. Just tune her to poison.
