Update to Inequity Lowers PI

I suppose that's the way the cookie crumbles? I noticed that my overall PI for champs went down -50 points (some more). I'm only really assuming it was due to the change in Inequity because now instead of calling it Prestige ... it's called Mastery PI now. (according to auntm)

Anyone have insight?

    Prestige is calculated without masteries.

Which is why I'm confused ya know ... what else could have caused the decrease?? I assumed like I mentioned above since they changed the mastery and that's the only player based changed I can think of that would affect everyone's entire roster.

What other kind of change could cause the PI to decrease?

LOL i know right ... but it's all good.

Still, I'm super curious if not the mastery change ... why did all the champs PI get lowered. If you check your own, they lost PI.

Why or how could it possibly be any show of confusion? If you check one of the most popular MCOC websites for stats etc (auntm), you'll notice a change on champ's profile. Whereas it used to list Prestige only ... it now lists Mastery PI in place of what Prestige used to show.

I said that I assumed the relation because of what I noticed also on auntm.

I thought it was going to be a beneficial update but looks like it wasn't quite. Still, was just curious when I saw the lowered numbers. Figured someone here would have a bit of insight.

you listed a conflation of pi and prestige and now you are asking how it could lead to confusion? Who is the champ we are looking at? MCOC is not responsible for the content on auntm or any other third party website, if you are looking at your own stats remember that includes buffs you may have on as well. Your pi has no bearing on anything in the game, it dropping 50 points, if it did, is going to affect absolutely nothing.

it's not just me and not just one champ. it's every champ ... what i'm learning is, it does involve Inequity because some of my mates noticed it to who all have it unlocked.

but no worries, i'll just go seek answers elsewhere. thanks for the input everyone.

Power Index aka PI is the number shown on your champion with all masteries in effect, prestige is the base number of your champion without any boosts / masteries effecting the champion, inequity and all masteries do not effect PI

    AuntM.ai guy here.

There is no instead between mastery PI and prestige in the website.

Gamesbond90 is correct, the website will show the Prestige, as well as PI based on the masteries you setup on the site. You can use this to see what your PI would look like with and without inequity.

While I don't offer anything in the site to keep track of changes, I do keep historical data. There was a change in how PI is calculated with regards to inequity in the latest version.

If you had one rank of inequity it's unchanged, ranks 2 and 3 now give the same PI boost that having 1 rank does. Previously this was linear, approximately 1%, 2%, 3%, and is now 1%, 1%, 1%.

Normally I try to look at my historical data and report weird things like this to Kabam, but I skipped over the mastery updates this round (I made a lot of my own changes to some backend mastery stuff, so I saw my change log as tons of changes and didn't dig in).
