Failed matchmaking for AW

The game is currently telling me that I failed to enlist for the current matchmaking. Before the last alliance war had ended, I had already checked to make sure that my alliance was enlisted for the next alliance war. So my question is, what happened? Is alliance were matchmaking turned off right now, or is there a bug?

    Same issue. I enlisted my alliance TWICE and it didn’t stick either time

    Despite this fail to matchmaking message, the server "eventually" caught up to itself.. Our AW did make a match and loaded the defender placement menus after about 20 minutes. SO it worked, but.. is it really working as intended?
