Spider-Gwen Evade

Hey everyone,

Hoping someone could educate me on Spider-Gwen's evade mechanics.

Her abilities state she has a 550% chance to evade unblockable specials. It goes on to say she doesn't evade when blocking.

So these are my two questions:

1) Does the evade potential only apply to natively unblockable specials, like Corvus' special 2? Or does it also apply node local node buffs that give any champ unblockable specials, such as Storm Pyramid-X having unblockable specials in Variant 5.

2) To trigger the evade, since it says she won't evade while blocking, does that mean you just have to stand there and pray 550% is enough to evade, at the risk of taking a special to the face? Or do you need to manually attempt to dex the special for that evade boost to kick in?

Appreciate any insight you guys have.

Its not 550% its increased chance so she needs 3+ evade charges and on storm x in 1.1 she wont work even if 3 evade charges due to passive slow but she would evade corvus yes

@Bendy when you say "Evade Charges", are you talking about her Spider-Sense charges that she gains from special 1 or by being hit? If so, I guess that makes perfect sense.

As far as SPX having a passive slow, where is that coming from? I don't see that in her ability set or anywhere on the linked or global nodes.

SPX applies a passive slow during her sp1.
Gwen's "charges" are the same, either from sp1 or getting hit

Actually she might be able to evade Storm X's Specials. Slow debuffs don't work by preventing you from Evading. They subtract 100% from your Evade Ability Accuracy. If your Evade AA is over 100%, you should theoretically still be able to evade.

It'd be interesting to try it out...

At 5 charges you'd usually have 35% chance to evade. 550% during unblockable specials would bring it up to 192.5% chance to evade. Slow debuff takes 100% off, so in theory at max charges you have 92.5% chance to evade while under slow.

Yes you have to be Not Blocking for the Evade Chance to be able to activate, also like the others have stated it's not a Flat 550% Chance to Evade Unblockable Specials it's a +550% Chance to her Base Evade Chance that is increase by the amount of Spider Charges she has.

Appreciate the insight everyone! I took her to 4/55 with a 3>4 gem from a previous variant, but have never actually used her for anything but arenas until today.
