Spidey villains and variant 5

Why aren’t spider man villains such as doc oc, green goblin, mysterio and rhino considered spider verse characters and not allowed in the new variant. Not saying they are necessarily good champs I’m just curious.

Because if you let Spidey villains in then kingpin would want in, and then Daredevil would want it, and then iron fist and Luke Cage would want in ...

Because you have to draw a line somewhere.

They are #Sinister Six. They don’t have the spider verse tag
