Trick opponent into using SP1/SP2?

Is there any way to trick your opponent into using SP1/SP2 in order to avoid them reaching SP3?

Ive found that basically never holding block when unnecessary does the trick. It also helps to punch into their block and idle near them, outside of that its pretty much rng.
