Get Platpool without Incursions?

Has anyone seen if there will be a way to get Platpool without having to play Incursions?
Matching with randoms seems to mostly be a disaster of slow play, miscommunication and disappearing after a room or two, and I don’t have long stretches to dedicate to playing with people that I’d like to.
On a side note, I’d much rather see Incursions swapped for something different, either team or solo built for playing in short stints. You know, something suited to a mobile game.
