AA interaction with Matador is broken

So, if AA has neurotoxin up, he does not gain bars of power when an opponent fires a special in Matador mode. This could be explained by his ability accuracy reduction. But, if it shuts down the node so you don't gain power from the node, he should gain power normally. Instead, he gains no power either way the whole fight.

Archangel worked perfectly for me. Why need power when you're landing neurotoxin's, doing major damage over time, and shutting down the node?

It's not necessarily broken, he's just not a great choice for that node if you need the power. That's just how AAR works with node effects. You can't expect it to shut down only the ones you want but not effect others. Domino or any other AAR champ can do the same thing.

AAR shouldn't just shut down the beneficial part of the node. It should shut down the whole node.
Some things cannot be shut down, just like some abilities cannot be affected by aar basically aar affects triggers, the second -art of the node is not a trigger

You gain a bar of power each time the opponent throws a special attack. It’s the only way to gain power. Coupled with Power Shield, it’s very interesting

    Same happens with Domino occasionally
I assume it's possible with any aar champ.

yep it does all aar champs suck for it.

it shuts down the trigger part of the node.....
it does not bypass the node, it stops the node from triggering. thats how AAR works.
so the node is there and you don't gain power, when the trigger point happens of them firing a special you prevent the node from triggering and therefore prevent the power transfer.
    yes it sucks.
    but its simple code.
    and it makes perfect sense.

Combat power gain (normal power gain) is a triggered event. That's why you can + 200% combat power with nodes. Should be 100% chance not to gain combat power and be reduced from there. Might be programmed otherwise, but that is bad programming.
