Rise of the X - Chapter 2.1 Power Technician - Possible issue?

Using Iron Man (Infinity War) on path A, doesn't seem to be draining any defender power when blocking attacks, regardless of how many armour ups are active. Am I missing something?

Hmmm...ok...it does flash 'ARMOUR UP' when one activates, so I'd assumed it would count, but I guess you could be right.
