I don't know. I need to run the numbers, but it isn't looking good. His extra physical damage is double of Silver Surfer, but limited to four debuffs, while Surfer has at least five to six buffs (with extra from dex or shock/incinerate/coldsnap debuff) and Surfer does it on every hit, not only special attacks. So unless unless the 8 hits of Apocalypse's SP2 outdamages all the basic hits (6 each combo) AND the 4 hits of his SP2 AND the +180% potency...
Okay, I'm just going to do the numbers.
R 5* deals 273.65 energy damage per hit per unique buff. In the case of 6 unique buffs, the SP2 will deal a burst of 6 x 273.63 x 1.8 = 2,955.42 damage. Apocalypse with 4 debuffs hits with his SP2 8 x 615.33 = 4,922.64. But Surfer deals damage with every hit. Two bars of power take like 18 hits? That's 18 x 273.63 = 4,925.34. Even if the power gain reduces that to 12, that's 3,283,56 burst damage. That's more than enough to beat Apocalypse.
Conclusion: Silver Surfer deals more damage than Apocalypse, only considering the burst damage.

Great anaylsis. Apocalypse is looking even worse than Silver Surfer. Pain.

If you would do the DPS measurement. As SS is easier to ramp up (thanks to the power gain rate buffs and no reliance on the number of genetic passives), he will have faster cycle of SP2 damage compared to Apocalypse, who has regular power gain rate. On top of that, SS has much higher crit hit & crit damage rating, so you'll see bigger yellow numbers. His base attack rating is lower than Apocalypse, but thanks to his Fury buffs will have higher output. Much higher. 4,378 attack rating to be exact.
It will be difficult for Apocalypse to beat that with only +160% extra special attack damage. He has a synergy that increases his attack rating by 15% per mutant. I don't consider running all mutant teams to be viable in current meta, which requires you to bring extra counters. If you can save a spot for one mutant, preferably Mr Sinister or Cable, you should be glad.
So yeah, I guess Apocalypse is worse than Silver Surfer.

Oh my this is looking dreadful for Apocalypse. That's awful to create such a strong and powerful character from the comics and make him a dud in mcoc. So the sole intention of bringing Apocalypse to Mcoc was to just make him a great defender and for synergy purposes. I don't have high hopes for giant Galactus then LOL. maybe he will be the next joe fixit ?? haha
KABAM MADE A LITERAL MARVEL GOD ACROSS THOUSANDS OF YEARS A DUD
A LITERAL MONKEY WITH GUNS IS BETTER THAN HIM
TEARS IN MY EYES
LOOK HOW THEY MASSACRED MY BOY
And they made a hot boi able to melt an immortal dimensional being without even attacking. The power potential of a character in the comics shouldn't dictate how good they are in the game.

Correction: It should, but it doesn't.
Why, though? Why should characters have pre-determined tier spots in the game?
And please do not make apocalypse the final boss of ANY AQ season
He has his counters so even if he is made the final boss just bring a good counter
If he starts at 3 charges cause he defends the final boss node you only have 1 chance while using a non-robot champ to get him down before his block break activates for every fight after that. The only way i know to not do that is to use robot and there aren't too many choices for good robots(vision, warlock, nebula, maybe darkhawk). Not to mention he is practically stun immune since he starts at 3 charges as final boss so there is really little room for error. And If he gets to 4 charges, stun immune + block break on light attack is going to be super difficult to deal with. Ghost might work sure, but we'll have to see.
If he becomes too powerful, maybe as AQ boss, he will get some sort of nerf, similarly to AQ Season 4.
Remember when everybody thought Corvus Glaive was going to be useless? Or when everybody hated Ghost? Did you know that Dr Voodoo was one of the worst received Champions ever? Doctor Octopus didn't get his time in the sun until much later than his release.
Give it time, and remember that there's a lot more to Champions than just their big yellow numbers.
I think many will be disagree about this. At 6★ rank 3, he hitting like a beyond God tier 4★ champ. And talking about corvus, ghost, they had potential higher damage unlike apocalypse. Apocalypse damage potential very low compare to those mention character.
He is a very good champ. Its just that he's old. If he ever gets an update, he'll be insane. Not that he needs one, but I think people would appreciate him if he was easy to use.
Old does not mean bad. Many often forget this in this community.

What is the point of the game then?
Sentry should have then been indestructible to everything. Phoenix should have just killed mortals with a touch. Hulk should have been an unstoppable beast. Black Bolt could just whisper and blast the battlerealm to bits.
I don't know about others, but that doesn't sound like a fun game to me.
@The_Sentry06 I don’t like the idea of champs in game being EXACT replicas of their comic book counterpart for some of the reasons you listed. However, I do think it would be a better idea for these champion abilities/ stats to at least give a baseline originating from their comic book counter part. For the one reason alone that this is a game we are supposed to have fun with. Apocalypse is a massive character in Marvel, as far as power level goes. They couldn’t at the very least give us a taste of that?
Just my opinion though, maybe some people really like seeing their comic book favorites to be nothing more than a bench warmer/ support champ.

Right. Best example would be Hyperion I think
Hyperion and Quake are the two big ones that come to mind

Wasn’t Quake also underestimated when she came out?
Quakes aftershock damage was bugged and gimped for at least a year after release so our perception was not based in how she is now.
His specials are fairly difficult to avoid resulting in a decent bit of block damage and will usually be stun immune when he’s defending. Also, early look has his prestige as one of the highest in game so there will be a beefy Apocalypse or two in most high end AW.
Regardless of how we see him he’s a perfect champ for Kabam.

He isn’t that hard to fight. Solo him in first try.
Waste of a thread. No patience to first experience playing with the character . You all said the same for warlock, he turned out to be full of utility and damage on heavies, you either have damage or utility or a decent mix of both, that's how balance works. Look at Seatin's ccp video fam.

This thread was made before the video came out
That's the point, I don't want people under-estimating champs before official gameplay comes out.
