RNG is Destroying My Will to Play

This is a vent post. I don't expect any help or advice. I'm just frustrated and nobody IRL wants to hear this about some game they've never heard of.

My last 6 6* have been Mordo, Guillotine, Green Goblin x 2, Ultron, and Symbiote Spidey. Now Guilly did put in work in V5, but I'm not gonna take her to R2. The others don't even have niche uses I'm aware of.

I push through a lot of content, often with units from arena grinding, but I can't get champs I need for other things. I've opened 22 dual crystals hunting for HT for my Abyss team and still nothing. I'm at the point where I actually dread opening crystals.

This last 6* with Symbiote Spidey, I opened without looking at my phone. I finally looked and this was it. I dread hard content because I know I'm gonna push through it with a lot of effort and units and get a bunch of resources and then get shafted on my champ pulls. Then I have to rank whatever's sitting on my account or let it expire.

I have 3 t5b expiring in 4 days and this 6* and a featured 5* crystal were my last hope for pulling a champ I'd be excited to rank. Nope, not gonna happen.

I can't even rank some old champs using the resources because I can't use my stupid 2017 gems to R4 champs because the game defaults to my unrestricted class gems and I'm saving those for when I pull HT or NF sometime in 2030. I can't get support to help because my email I used on the ticket doesn't match something on Kabam's end.

I'm beyond frustrated, but I remind myself it's just a game. When it's not fun anymore, it's time for a break. I guess I just talked myself into taking a break, but it'll have to wait a few days for the end of AW season so it doesn't hurt my ally.

Tldr: I'm a whiny baby who needs to get over not getting virtual items on a mobile game.

tell me about it. today i pulled 6 star electra HAHAHAH but then i pulled 5 star Iron Patriot more HAHAHAH from cerebro crystal, bought another cerebro and got 5 star CMM

Well, he does have some good utility with his power drain, poison, and incinerate, plus he can have some really good damage on his sp2 if you build up his charges, but his main use is being a pain in the *** defender. I would not want to fight a 6r3 on AW Defense, especially on some of the boss nodes. Honestly though, I would definitely consider GG worth ranking up for use as a defender and as a quirky attacker.

For @allinashes don't feel too bad about your bad six star pulls now because the new act 7 beta is showing that you can do it without needing the top champs. Ultron at least will be good for some of the paths and so will Mordo, believe it or not.

I think mcoc hit its peak prior to 12.0. But after it declined I think. I know December 2017 (1$ 4*) spiked game interest and so Did August 2018 (Marvel Anniversary).

Join the club haha from 40 6* I have 5 that are worth using in act 6 difficulty content and 4 of them I got from offers.
Earlier in the week I had 46 materials expiring because I’d ranked up all 5* I wanted to and had no 6* worth R2. It’s the sad life being a kabam addict

You know... all those expiring rank up materials... you could rank up some random 5*s for fun. Just a thought.

Not saying you should. But you can. Hell there's a bunch of champs I'd rank up just for fun to use in random content. But everyone's idea of fun is different I suppose.

I don't know how long you have been playing but there has never been as large of a gap between the best and worst players as there is right now. On top of that the pool of champs continues. It used to be you could get a 25% chance for the featured champ. That's still eng but the odds are a lot better at that rate than the 2% or less that it is today. Some ppl don't mind rng. It can make the game fun. But when the odds drop too low it can take the fun right out of it and make it frustrating. The rng rate has gotten worse and the amount of champs and poor champs has increased. I think that's the main reason ppl complain about the rng.

Been playing since the beginning. I know how the top player base is. There will always be a gap no matter what and that's what happens when theres a chance to spend cold hard cash in a game. Its inevitable and ain't goin anywhere. They did lessen the blow to rng some with dual Crystal's and nexus Crystal's. but its a game that was created in the basis of rng. If you cant handle rng at some point then it's not the game for you anymore regardless of how much you spend or time spent

I hear you man. My last 6* pulls where king groot and groot. I feel bad tho if I could I would totally give you the 5* nick fury and 5* torch that are just laying around on my alt

I planned to pop-up 10 regular 5* crystals earlier this month but today I did math and found out that I'm not gonna make 10 crystal this month so I thought opening whatever crystals I have so I went to crystal tab and saw its tech/mut today so I thought I should wait until it changes tonight and then open. After reading your post I think I'm gonna pass on opening crystal now but to go with my original plan. Maybe I won't get good champs out of them but I am sure I'm not going to disappoint today lol

I'm low-key reaching the same point as you, frustrated and wanting to take a break. My reasons may be more than just bad rng but I feel ya. Relax and just login for rewards from SA calendar. After that I guess you can just take an extended break. It does get frustrating honestly. Cheers

Mordo is a great defender and beyond god tier with resistor. You can pretty much infinitely chain SP2's thanks to his power gain and watch the health get blown away.

He was one of the more available higher prestige champs in tech when R3s first started becoming possible. I'm guessing it was ASGRD possibly you were up against, if so I was there when AF ranked him up for prestige. If it's another alliance, who knows

When using dual crystals you have up to a 45% chance to pull a "god" tier champion (mystic/science). The game has never been this SMALL of a gap, not large, because they keep making it easier by making shards eaier to get or things like the nexus/dual class crystals. And people have been complaining about RNG since the game first started.
