Arena match up costing units

In the 3 to 4 star arena I just got all the rewards last night (hit 1.5 mil points) then it started costing units to get matchups. When did they start doing this? As it has always cost gold to find a matchup except if you wanted to spend units to refresh your champs early

And yes all my heroes are refreshed.

huh? I'm guessing you mean the 4* basic? it doesn't cost units

lol not sure what you are talking about man arena does not cost units to do, it costs 5 units to do different matchups which you never should do

are you sure you are not confusing doing arena with refreshing the matchups?

Going out on a limb here, from a tree planted on a long extended plank, out away from a tall cliff....

Could it be that you actually ran yourself down to absolutely ZERO Gold available, and “MAYBE” in that case since you have Zero Gold to use to start another Arena match it decides to let you continue but by using Units instead (sort of like converting Units into Gold in order to continue Arena) ??????? (honestly don’t know what the game would do in that situation of Zero Gold).

Or do you mean you were pressing the button for not liking the current 3 opponent matchup options and for “re-rolling” for a different set of opponents ?? (That DOES cost Units)

When someone posts something that really isn't possible, it is generally because they are mistaken, in which case it is constructive to try to figure out where their error is, which is what people were doing. The only nonconstructive post I read was yours.

There's no such limit that I'm aware of. I've done more than 100 rounds in 12 hours multiple times and I've never run into a limit of that kind. It could be a visual glitch: sometimes the game just displays the wrong display assets. Did you actually see it cost units, or did you stop the moment you saw that? If it actually did deduct units I have no explanation for that, that's definitely a bug you should open a ticket for. If you didn't actually get charged the units (because you didn't want to test it) then it is possible it just looked wrong visually in the interface.

did you contact support? maybe they've heard of a bug like this before, or it's some obscure game rule
