A 1k prestige diff at this stage isn’t that big, you have all r5, they may have a handful of r3, the handicap you face is still lower than the increased attack and health bonus nodes if you climb up the ranks.

I got your point, your example was funny though. Pretty much what we are saying. War rating is wrong for a lot of alliances, so using that metric means the matchmaking is inherently flawed.

Match making is exactly what it should be since this is a zero sum competition. Maybe y’all should be arguing for a rat league where you drink from rat pools instead of a communal pool.

I dont understand the complaint. In the old system this matchup was s till possible, your prestige is within 10% of each other, your war rating is similar. What do you want, something based on alliance rating? my god that would be a terrible system, you would be steamrolled every fight as people sold off their 4*s and below to get an supposed advantage.

Again alliance rating means very little in your ability in war.

We're a 14 mil alliance vs 14 mil alliance. they have 30 members, we have 24, they got destroyed but according to you that wouldnt be a fair match up either.
