Crazy Power Gain After L3 on Node 54 AW

Am I underestimating AoE power gain here? He gains more than 2 bars from my L3. Also if u pause just before my L3 it seems like he already gains to more than 2 bars of power which is bizarre (power bar immediately goes orange just before my L3 (0:54) ). What's going on here?

    Solved, asked around and it looks like the power gain was from MD. Completely forgot about that, but I learned I can't delete posts on the forums so it's still up.
