Ghost sp2 question

So, I’ve been trying to up my skill level with ghost and play her a lot recently, and I’ve noticed this several times. When I am playing with Wasp on the team, I’ll dash back and immediately hit the sp2 button for the guaranteed crust and unblockable special, but unluckily the opponent will be far enough away that I whiff the first hit. “All good” I think, because the second hit has incredible reach, so it indeed does hit the opponent even through block because of wasp. Here is where the dilemma comes in, I’ve had the third hit not reach far enough to hit the opponent even after the second hit made contact...... is this supposed to happen? I understand that different attacks have different reaches, but I feel like once a single hit of a special makes contact with the opponent, the other hits should too. Calling all you skilled Ghosters to let me know if I’m just a noob and this is actually something that happens with other characters or if this is actually a flaw in the design that should be .... wait for it .... phased out.

    Happens to me. It's a bug. Been going on for a few months now.

    Considering how OP Ghost is, kabam might decide to not fix it.

    Honestly, it hasn’t been too bad because it doesn’t affect the timing of the special (eg. I can’t get punished directly afterwards) but it would be nice since so much of her attack value is brought by effectively using the sp2.

    @Nojokejaym The problem isn’t how easy she is to use but about her animations not properly connecting, which doesn’t have anything to do with user input.

    @Mcdonalds I almost always do, I’ve just been trying to maximize damage given/special attacks I have to dodge and I’ll dash back after a single medium and it happens. That is good advice to not have to deal with it though.

    This happens to me all the time, especially when I am trying to chain a special after the opponents special, its a bit unfortunate if the opponent if the opponent comes at you

    Yeah this has happened to me as well. What i triy to so to prevent this from happening is to corner the opponent then sp2..that way he has nowhere to go

    This always happened when you carry wasp sinergie, if you tyr play with ghost without wasp you discover she is very easy to play, just intercept when the opponent fail, this way the opponent be so close to you and if you don block or dash back he hit you, here you use dexterity and immediately lunch special 2. This work swith unawakened ghost or when you are below of 3 barr's of power if you are nearby o 3 bars she gains power form her signature hability and launch special 3rs instead of 2.

    Those are good points, and I love had the same experience, but I think this case is different in that the defender that I’ve been fighting when it happens isn’t backing up or evading my third hit, they are standing still, and the third hit just doesn’t reach them. Maybe that is the reason though.

    Also, for all those with the advice on how to pull off a sp2 without missing, I appreciate and can do it most of the time, but some fight just require a different play style or cadence than ghost usually can benefit from, or sometimes stuff just happens. I just want the mistakes to be on me and not the game.

    Happens to me a **** ton.
    1) you miss the biggest bit of damage being the final hit
    2) the enemy depending on the AI will just slap you with a full combo and if you are lucky a special to the face that crits and kills you

    I play Ghost a lot without the Wasp synergy so I usually parry before sp2. Sometimes, my parry stun will fall off mid-animation, the opponents will move and my first hit whiffs. I don't think it has happened when I don't parry or maybe I missed it because I don't use the Wasp synergy a lot
