Omega Red activates his death field for a brief moment when critically hit by Nightcrawler, who deals instant bleed damage on crits.
Cap Marvel Movie purifies all armor ups on the opponent when intercepting with a heavy. This bypasses armor break immunity.
Venom is the single most useful Variant champion. (Escept for variant 3. That’s Sentinel’s variant.)

In case you didn’t already know, Mordo has a very low chance to stop blocking while his power gain is active, thus allowing you to heavy attack him, but beware, he does know how to dash back, so pin him against the wall first ideally.
The new Punisher 2099 buff allows him to keep his opponent below a bar of power for 80 hits. His power control rotation is sp1 spam. If you want a little more damage rush to a special 2, get the armor break and then maintain the battery with the sp1.
Colossus is the best mutant in the game.
Captain America Infinity War’s sp1 reduces the opponent’s defensive ability accuracy by 100% if launched while kinetically charged. This allows you to bypass stuff like Magik’s limbo if you throw it right before she fills a bar of power.
Human Torch has the highest damage potential against mystics.
Diablo with suicides has a higher damage output than Darkhawk (with suicides aswell of course).
Ebony Maw can permanently steal Vision Aarkus’ power gain buffs with his heavy attacks.
MODOK’s abilities have a pattern we haven’t figured out yet. He also reduces the effectiveness of power gain that’s not from hits by up to 100% based on flux, which we do not know how to predict. His special one inverts both regen and power gain during the animation and a second after the animation ends, hence his reputation as an aggresion: regen cheese counter. P.S: don’t rank up MODOK, he isn’t that good.
Hulk (Ragnarok) is the counter to all passive "fun and interactive" damage. This includes:
- Magik’s limbo
- Omega Red’s spores
- Terrax’ rock aura
- Mephisto’s aura
- Domino’s crit failure
- Dormammu’s degen
- Ebony Maw’s degen
- Mojo’s degen
- Longshot’s incinerate (, though it might be so strong it’ll kill you anyway, so don’t try it)
- Any starburst node
Electro deals damage back even if the champion’s attacks are energy based. The damage reflect can be ignored by ranged attacks (non-contact attacks). Champions like Professor X or Havok have in-built non-contact basic hits, but there’s also Omega Red, who’s tentacles ignore the damage reflect and Namor at max signature level, who reflects the reflected damage back ("you may have outsmarted him, but I outsmarted your outsmarting" or simply "reverse uno card").
Mister Sinister can block unblockable special attacks and is immune to reversed controls.
Venom cannot be power burned or drained by tech champions so long as he has his klyntar buff.
