Duping Maxed 6* Champs Feels BAD

After completing Abyss 100%, I used my generic 6* AG on Aegon, who is my favourite champ in the game. What's more, I used up all of the sig stones I'd been hoarding and took him up to sig 200.
Since then, I've pulled Aegon twice more. The game sure knows how to rub your nose in it.
The worst thing about this is that you get almost nothing for it. You get the same amount of ISO you'd get for duping a 4* and a paltry amount of gold, and that's IT. Your 10,000 6* shards just vanish into a black hole, and I've now lost 20,000 that way.
Can this not be addressed @Kabam Miike? Maxing a 6* champ should yield rewards, not penalities. This just leaves an awful feeling, i.e. being punished for my achievements.
