Maybe your right - the synergy is still extremely potent which leads me to believe maybe not for a long time. However that synergy does sound fun.

After those 30 seconds, you'll probably have some piece of metal which wouldnt probably even get a armor up, and for most the cases, in my own experience using him, the overload is not a 100% guaranteed thing.
