Cav difficulty issues

Newcombs Paradox: mutant bonus prowess not activating after using specials while bleeding, or not converting all bleeds to prowess. Had 4 bleeds did special, only got one prowess. Anyone else having this issue?

What champion are you using. You need to give more details. There are several mutants that shut the node down either by ability or who the defender is.

If you can't give useful information, don't complain about not being able to utilize the node correctly.

I feel like this is the most useless nodes for champs other than omega , unless you use the apocalypse horsemen synergy for bleed immunity

Dude, you’re a dbag, you have never provided useful information and I’d rather not deal with you. I’ve gone through all my mutants and I have all but 4 or so. It’s easy enough to just smash with colossus and I just think it’s a meh bonus.

Side note, nowhere did I say this game sucks, or I want compensation. Just pointing out a meh mechanic, that I wasn’t sure if I was missing something, which dretlle cleared up nicely with a simple response.

I don’t want help from someone like demonz. He generally just backs Kabam and doesn’t provide help in my experience. Why would I want to indulge him?

I tried helping you. I did the quest last month with zero issues. I ask a simple question of which mutant you were using. You replied with "ones that bleed". I even posted a video from last months quest proving the node works just fine.

Now you come back with some BS that I'm unhelpful because I back Kabam. Neither have anything to do with each other. I wasn't rude to you in any way at all and wanted to genuinely help. Not anymore. Shame because I know exactly how the node works and can get it to work with every single mutant. 🤷

I'm having same issue, came here to see if others were too. Happens with Omega, just happened with Archangel vs Magik. Doesn't specify anything other than mutants convert the bleed to prowess by using special but not working.

Really? How much info is needed? Mutant bleeds, does special, not converting to prowess? It’s a genuine complaint that shows it’s a poor bonus when compared to the other ones for the other classes. Also, a lot of the champs that do get the bonus going lose most of their health from bleeding out. Might as well just use bleed immune champs and not try and have fun with the node.

I didn’t come on here saying skill champs not getting fury after damage over time expires because it’s doing what it says consistently and it’s a fun interaction.

You need to state what champions you are using, because mutants have a lot of champs that reduce ability accuracy, and that affects if the node will trigger or not to give you prowess, or even give you bleeds or not.

If you are using domino, AA, OR, or mags against metal (to name a few), or trying to launch specials while they are stunned and you have the pacify mastery, then you are likely to run into an issue because they reduce ability accuracy. You need to give full details of the fight, who you are using, who you are fighting against and the exact nodes with a video if you can.

Omega Red is one of those mutants that shut down the node. It happens when you have spores on the defender. 10 Spores and it's 100% war.

No, not really. The question was already answered by drettle with my “limited info.” I said my champions were bleeding, so that means they weren’t bleed immune.

The node itself says “when activating a special they purify all bleeds on them and gain a permanent passive prowess...” So, if you bleed and you activate a special you should gain a prowess.

So, if you’re colossus, you dont bleed, so you g et no prowess. If you’re a mutant champ that bleeds, you should get a prowess if you’re bleeding the. activate a special. Should be straightforward right? But it’s not.

I still have yet to complain about, how does your own ability accuracy reduction abilities impact the interaction on something already impacting you? Why would you’ll your own ability accuracy abilities actively work against you?

If you face a champ like magik or Hyperion while using domino, you have a chance to block them from triggering their abilities, but not your own.

It doesn’t make sense to me why this would be an issue with the node. You are removing a debuff, and not getting the prowess as stated, or worse yet, the debuff remains after doing a special, so you just bleed out more.

I would understand if this happened while facing a defender with ability accuracy reduction abilities because it is something that benefits them. It’s just a complicated mechanic that is working awkwardly with this node.

With all that being said, I accepted the logic and said it was a useless node because a bleed immune champ can clear the lanes easier without worry about health management. This is that I have willpower and I was still down a lot of health.

As for Demonz, his comment didn’t add anything after my question was answered. I understand I came off as snarky, but I recognize him as someone that hasn’t been helpful in the past, and at times rude. Next time I’ll respond a bit clearer or just say, no I’m good someone answered the question.

But anyway, still a meh node when compared to the other ones, just needs a bit of a adjustment and it can be a fun one.

The reason why it impacts the node is simply because the node counts as an “ability” of the defender. So if the defender’s ability is to give you a prowess passive when you activate a special by purifying a bleed debuff you have, using a champion who reduced ability accuracy, reduces the chances of this happening. As someone pointed out, OR with 10 spores = 100% AAR. If you’re using duped AA, it’ll be the same based on his sig level and the number of neurotoxins.

The problem is that without that info we are shooting int he dark, and if we are able to tell you the problem it is most likely that we guessed correct. You need to state the things that we told you, because all champions are differnt. they have different kits, some have AAR, some dont, some have AAR that only affects offense, or defense, then there are immunities. Without knowing who you are using we have no clue if what you are saying is really a problem, or just a lack of knowledge on how the same works.
