I only have Prof X as a 4-star but this is what I've gathered so far Prof X is a good attacker w/ synergies that make his Mutants better defenders Apocalypse is a good defender w/ synergies that make his Horsemen* OP attackers Having said that Theoretically speaking I would take Apocalypse over Prof X XL champ, grows in size with each Genetic Code (how cool is that) Large health pool, and regen Access to a ton of debuffs which can last indefinitely Can develop debuff immunity Can stun opponent when blocking which can be SO useful Decent damage output Simple rotation

I have both. First to clarify misinformation above. None of the synergies in this game work on defense/defenders. Both are great champions. As attackers i give an overall edge to apoc for his utility, ease of play, and less time to ramp up (1 fight vs 3). However, once ramped up, prof x can deal insane damage. For synergies, prof is going to help your entire mutant team vs apoc will make one mutant just crazy on your team. You have to remember prof x is going to give u 100% extra damage to entire team on sps vs apoc giving 50% to 1 guy. Also attacking ability acc inc only effects a few champs ie wolverine and aa. However, if it storm, cable, wolverine, gambit, and aa they become really insanely good with apoc ( but only 1 per quest). If your primary mutant is col, domino, havok id stick with prof x. Also prof x side synergies with poison resistance with col or wolverine(if run suicides), power gain ( aa), and mental block (saves u alot of damage in beginning of fights with mags and ice) are super helpful. So I would say with synergies depends on who you like to run for which ones better.

Generally when we talk about defenders it means AW defense, not defensive abilities while attacking.
Definitely professor x. You know what's even better. 2 professor X's. I got a 5 star and 3 star prof x. I ramp up my 5 prof x to 4 cerebro plus one more cerebro from my 3 star. 5 cerebro charges. That's 125% special damage per mutant.
Prof x is more tricky to play with and if you are not careful can lose your rampup in a fight and have to start from beginning. I havent thought of 2 prof x but now want to try it lol. On a similar note I am wondering if I bring 2 apoxs does that mean i can make 2 mutants horseman?

Hey just looked it into it cuz you had me curious. Unfortunately prof x syngergy doesn't stack so you shouldn't be getting over 100% if you bring 2.
