Symbiote Supreme Appreciation Thread

A few weeks ago, I was having so much fun with my newly r5 Guillotine 2099 that I thought no one could surpass her as my favorite champion in the game. Well, I was wrong. Symbiote Supreme is my new favorite champion. I took him to r5 a week ago and I have enjoyed every single minute of playing him.

I feel like these days, people don't talk about Symbiote Supreme as much anymore because it's all about Doctor Doom or Black Widow CV. Those champions are amazing, but so is Symbiote Supreme. Now in a lot of matchups, Symbiote Supreme won't be doing too much for you, but in his ideal matchup, in which there are quite a lot in Act 6 exploration and Alliance War, he is absolutely crazy. He has also been an MVP in Variant 5 for me in my exploration endeavors. His buff control is unrivaled and his damage when built up is crazy. In his ideal matchup, he's arguably the best mystic champion in the game because of how well he can control the fight (not saying he's the best mystic champion in the game in general because he needs his ideal matchup to be crazy powerful, Doctor Doom and BWCV are both better than him in the general matchup. However, he has quite a lot of "ideal" matchups if you look closely, so he is an amazing champion for so many different scenarios in game.).

I'm gonna post a few highlights below of why I love this champion so much:


My first 5* mystic r5 and I couldn't be happier.

R4 Sym Supreme obliterating the 6.2.6 The Champion final boss (2 months ago)

Sym Supreme vs power gain buff champions is no problem (Vision Aarkus and Hyperion are just Sym Supreme food)

Symbiote Supreme vs the 6.3.1 Medusa boss (currently working on exploring that quest)

Sym Supreme vs The Champion final boss in Alliance War (Solo)

    Right. You showed me light on how many great matchups he has. He's an incredible champion who works in so many scenarios.

    Definitely. He controls buff matchups extremely well and is the best mystic champion in those scenarios.

    I try to always bring him on my team especially doing EQ bc I tend to hit replay and not scout paths. Then I'll be happily stomping along and there'll be an Annihlius there, just waiting for me, rubbing his little green hands in glee bc I don't have Sym Supreme.

    hes like a mystic torch for me. situational dependant but where he shines, he is the best counter.

    Just took mine to R5 as well. It was mainly a prestige rank-up, but I found myself using him in buff heavy matchups at R4 anyways and really enjoy playing him. No regrets. (I still need iso for the last 19 levels though which sucks.)

    I have him as a rank 3 5*. He's cool, but I couldn't take him up further because of suicides. I have turned off suicides, but then I pulled a sorcerer supreme, lol. She's gonna take priority because she has more of the utility I need in the now.

    He's really not bad with suicides. People throw Sp2's into the rotation, but they're really not necessary and you can stick to throwing Sp3's the whole time. I think he benefits quite a bit if you run coag tbh. I'm planning to unlock suicides in 2 months and that's what I'll be doing.

    Fair enough! Just know that if you're facing a STACKED buff champion, Sym Supreme will be ready! 😂

    Agreed. He's not suicide friendly nor suicide non friendly. He's pretty neutral. You can play around suicides by sticking to just sp3s and you will still get a lot of damage through your bleeds. You can also do 1 sp2 a fight or something and only sacrifice 5% of your max health for more damage.

    Got my awakened 6r2 and thinking he might be my first r3 once I finish my t5cc mystic... have Doom at 6r1 but as I have a max sig r5 Dom it might go to SS. Really fun to play with once they bleed and there are buffs.
