Changing masteries will cost ZERO unit.

I got a survey today from Kabam about my opinions on the current mastery set up.

If you have one as well, it is time to share your thoughts and give Kabam a chance to reduce the mastery changing cost to 0.

It is a win/win situation. People will buy more crystals because they can run both suicides and non suicides simultaneously. Currently, people only target champions that fit the masteries they run most often. If they run suicides, they will less likely to go after non suicides champs and vice versa. Reducing the cost to 0 will help both Kabam and players. It increases Kabam’a profit and allows players to use champions at their maximum potentials more often without hurting their hard earned units.

Please let your voice be heard and improve this game to a standard that it should be. Spending units on acquired masteries is a thing of the past!

A dual mastery system would be great. Or even the most perfect system would be a SOLO (quest/arena/incursion) Aq/war attack and War Defence system where you would be able to run 3 builds for every given game mode mentioned.
But atleast War defence as a seperate build.

And even if they do not want to remove the cost of switching. Just make players able to preset a handful of masteries that they can switch to by the click of a button. And pay the units if it does not become free all at ones.

I definitely agree with this, we should be able to turn off the mastery we want, not all of them. Last night I wanted to turn off the bleeding and venom mastery, but I wasted units unnecessarily that's ridiculous

This solves both pain points. Both reduces the cost and the brutally slow/clunky process of a mastery respec. Both of which make me want to only switch them when absolutely necessary. They don't need to remove the unit cost, because most of the cost is associated with restoring the points in masteries we didn't even want to remove.. that's the annoying part. Why do I have to pay to have DW removed and restored just to adjust something else on the attack tree for instance? I didn't want to change DW, so why so I have to pay for it to change something else? If we can simply change what we wanted to actually change without wiping and restoring an entire tree it would reduce the cost and the time/effort required to make changes.

I don’t think anyone will disagree with the idea of fast and free masteries switching.

if you start a quest you choose your champs and your mastery setup and stick with it. changing them for each fight, doesnt make any sense..

we should be able to save mastery loadouts and we should be able to select them at the start of a quest or at the start of the aq/aw like we select the champs. changing them in one step would be a hughe improvement

I'm up for improvement. I just commented on what he said about 'changing it each fight, doesn't make sense' because those who cleared the Abyss changed their mastery setup a lot of times during their run on a single path and I think that's cool.

I actually favor that we CAN change masteries for every fight without it costing anything. We can just instead buy Mastery Pages but switching between them will cost nothing.

Imagine using the Fury mastery because you have Aegon and then switching to a different mastery page that has Mystic Dispersion for the next fight because you will use Doom.

There already is cost involved in unlocking them. To have unlocked all the masteries you’re clocking nigh on £2-300 worth of units. For a game this far down its development and with this many other sources of revenue I don’t really see the need to pay more.

It’s one of the most limiting factors in the game and robs enjoyment from some of the best champions in the game because you do have to make a decision between playing with CG/OR and a few other meta champions who are really fun with suicides but don’t really cut the mustard without them, and the rest of your roster. Ultimately Kabam should want us to play with all of the champions in our roster and I like many players here have had to choose between OR and Mystics, for example. Outside of very few players, most of us aren’t willing to play with our masteries more than once a week/month.

Fair enough, I misinterpreted what you said.
I agree, multiple pages would be awesome, the true ideal would be being able to switch between multiple pages on each champion, almost like a prefight. It’d probably take a while for us to set up but it’d be amazing to be able to click a suicide ghost, then a non-suicide version at the simple click of a button.

Although reducing the cost to zero is debatable, we can all agree it should be easier to change masteries. It isn't user-friendly you need to reset a whole tab just to allocate one mastery point. I would like to experiment more, but it is too expensive.

This. Imagine not being to play at least 70% of the champion pool just because they are not 'suicide friendly' and it will cost you more than you are willing to use.

They should add presets or build saving. It's not really the 150 units for switching that's the problem, it's how long it takes to put all the points into something.

At the very least let us take out points for a mastery individually so we don't have to reset the entire tree.

Not sure I agree with people adding suicides to defenders, recoil makes it so much easier to fight them.

I think it should cost X units for a mastery change, and you can select your preset. You should be able to save three presets with their own names, eg Suicides, AW defence, Standard.

It would also be great to see individual point recovery.

Well when you’re in P1/2 95% of people place without suicides as a matter of course. There’s the one person who places Elsa and KM with suicides on and you have to hope that they’re also going to be running OR on their attack team to get the most out of him.

My generic mastery set up has 4/5 MD anyway so the only difference if I was placing for defence alone would be putting more points in limber.

I'm assuming you mean take them off for defense and basically everyone already does this in any meaningful war tier. All it would do is reduce the cost.

I could live with a smaller cost and swappable presets. Say like 50 units to change presets and have at least 3 saved setups you could toggle between.

I love the idea of being able to set 2 or 3 different builds and quickly switch between them as desired. I'm not expecting this, but it would be nice!

Yes, out of suicides for war defense. I see a moderate amount of suicides in tier 4, and we’ve had at least two bosses with suicides this season.
