What am I doing wrong?

I’m trying to change my avatar on the forum, I’m using a 6th gen iPad, I’m going to the “settings” and trying to change the avatar, it gives me a checkmark, but no option to save the new one.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "save preferences" or whatever it's named as.
