How do I exit an incursion when my partner is not responding?

The title basically, I have rebooted the game quite a few times but I just can't seem to get out any suggestions please

    you just have to quit out with the exit option (the red door).

    Pretty sure you can’t, its one of the most annoying and stupid things in the game
