How good is Gulk?

I've been on hunt for Doom, BWCV, Ægon or Warlock for some time, but I have been getting this boy from all sides

Maybe the game is trying to tell me something, when I got him 4x in past month. So I ask you guys how good he is? How high would you rank him (in terms of champion ranks, not some silly tierlists)? And what's the ideal way to play him? And most importantly, is he still relevant in 2020?

    He was my first 6*, my first duped 6* and my first r2 6*. After another dupe a week or so ago he’s up to sig 180. FaceMe is great situationally. The fury or regen at the end of fights is huge. He’s got a big health pool.

    On the downside he’s not the fastest moving champ even compared to other XL champs. His damage is decent but not spectacular.

    Overall my opinion is that he’s still a good champ but has been passed by a lot of science champs...CapIW, Torch, Thing, buffed Red Hulk, Quake, Void are all more useful for more content.

    In terms of how to play him, I try to be as aggressive as possible, not always easy with a slowish moving champ, to get crowd excitement up and focus on spamming SP1 if facing a regen opponent or SP2 if it’s not a regen opponent.

    Hes become one of my favorite champions, as a 5/65 the dude is a straight brawler!

    He's really good and valuable. He's certainly not the best rank up choice, but he's got a lot of utility which makes him stand out from other characters in this game. His damage is not that good, but you can always afford to hit the enemy a couple more times rather than not being able to counter annoying nodes/mechanics, right?

    Pretty good for passive dot. I have him at r3. He helped me clear the starburst lane in v2. You have to be pretty aggressive so that you could reach crowd frenzy. Use heavy during frenzy to get bonus damage.
    He is relevant in 2020 though I would suggest to rank him up only when you need to use him anywhere.

    He’s amazing at what he’s designed for - passive BS - and average for standard match ups. I have my 6* awakened, he comes out for specific match ups rather than general path clearing.

    He carried me through a ton of content when he was one of my only good 5*. I don’t quest wit him no more because of the better champs
    I’ve collected but I always find myself using him in AQ and AW.
