simplifying process of confirming account identity
I am currently going through the process of proving that I in fact own my account to get a refund. I realize that these steps are necessary to prevent fraud but the steps to confirm the account, the number of questions that need to be answered and the level of detail that is required is too onerous on the player. Here are the current questions:
"What was the original player name of your account? Write this name exactly as it appeared in the game.
What are your first two real-money purchases? Include the dates (yyyy-mm-dd) and the amounts of real money you spent on iTunes or Google.
Did you ever attach a Kabam ID to your account, and what was the original email address that was linked to your account? Write the exact email address you attached to your account as a Kabam ID
What country, province, state, or city were you in when you created your account?
What is the creation date of your account? Estimate the date (yyyy-mm-dd) of when you created your account in the game."
I followed the suggestions to look at purchase history on the app store but despite reporting these findings I am told that some of my responses are still wrong but am not told which ones are wrong so I can do more research.
This does not make for good player experience. Any other website or app that requires verification of account identity requires only 1-2 security questions. This security process rivals that applying for a home mortgage. This needs to be changed/simplified. Maybe have everyone answer new security questions on the account up front with the next update.
Does anyone else have suggestions?
