5* shards... only more available via sales?

So, I know it hasn't been too long since you said 5* shards will be more accessible and I appreciate last months calendar was epic...

But since then all we have had, is deals to purchase 5* shards or the crystal...

Will we actually be seeing addition quests/content to obtain more? I am not including Monthly event quests in this, but as it stands I fail to see how all players are able to obtain them instead of players who purchase are getting the exclusivity of more shards?

Why not revamp the war rewards? Why delay that... maybe bump up arena rewards?

It just seems they are only more accessible if your willing to get your wallet out, which is quite annoying.

I don't mind if it's a super hard quest, or whatever you come up with, but just purely for sale isn't what should be done.

One last thing, main marvel characters like Wolferine, DS, Thor don't even have a 5* champ and 3rd/4th tier champs no one has heard of do.

This isn't great considering most of us play for Marvel, so will they ever get a 5* version? Seems low to add in 6*s when main characters in the universe don't get a 5*!

They just closed a thread pertaining to the availability of 5* shards not long ago. It's still on the first page I believe. Mike said it hasn't been that long since the announcement of 6* champs, and that 5* shards would become more available. Doesn't mean overnight they will be though. I'm paraphrasing, but I think that was pretty close.

If their plan is to make 5*s more available in the 3 months before 6*s become playable (Jan 2018 at the earliest)....they still have a month before we would see any changes. I do not understand this whole mentality of "Kabam's actions the first month after the announcement is indicative of how things are going to be".
It has only been 5 weeks since 6* were announced...their stated intent for giving this information so far in advance was so people would not feel like 6*s came out of nowhere....there is still plenty of time for changes in availability.

Considering the points above, it is fair to point out that the typical pattern often is to sell items just before they become more readily available in game. So maybe take heart in that @DarkestDestroyer ?

@DrZola yes that is true I guess, I just wouldn't like it to get to Oct and nothing new is added or altered, surely they gotta drop either a new difficulty in event quest with 6*s as opponents or a new feature, maybe like rifts or rockets scrapyard?

Anyway, I would like them to answer my question about some champs not having 5*s at all, and like some above have said it hasn't been long since there announcement, but they have still had 2/3 different offers for 5* shards in that time. So saying it hasn't been long and then them doing that, doesn't seem like an argument.

They have been more available both through the monthly calendar and also for Uncollected. It's not raining 5 stars just yet if that's what you are looking for, but there are more shards out there to be had. They've also increased the 5 star shard rewards for the last event quest and the current story quest. There are also the Grandmaster crystals.

I'd like more 5 star shards myself, but then if everyone was getting more shards all the time it would just reduce the value of the 5 stars we are getting because it would water down their value both as an investment and competitively. Which is also one of the reasons people are against 6 stars.

i am uncollected and have seen no increase in 5* shards care to explain how uncollexted are getting more

I believe I did. Uncollected has access to Grandmaster crystals, the new Daily (which has 4 stars in it), and they added more to the calendars and the events even if you aren't Uncollected.

If the complaint is instead, "I still want to see even more 5 star shards than we are getting now," then that's fine. However, my reply to whether more 5 star shards are only available if you buy things is that there really are other new options and upgrades to old options to make them more accessible.

If even after that you want more shards from somewhere and have an idea then post in the suggestion forum and get the concept rolling.

I am uncollected...got 0 4* from daily,got 4 4* out of grandmaster but i payed 200 units for that. And i don't think kabam said that only uncollected will be getting more shards. What about other people? 6* are comming in like 3 months and they said we will be able to max our 5* untill then.maybe they will release t5b a week before 6* are out???.offers for 5* shards were here before too so no increase there either... only improvement i see is in the number of bugs for now

And for calendar.... 0 shards this month.we get 1 grandmaster and i can buy it every day.so it is good for players who aren't uncollected.for us uncollected...what we get this month? and we all know what "rare chance to obtain 4* and 5*" means...

It would be good if Kabam could confirm they will be coming more in quests or events, it just seems even though the announcement hasn't been long, it's clear they are wanting to sell 5*s and shards much more.

I think they have been more available by kabams standards. Would rather be wrong but I think they have made them more available to those willing to buy them.

6* won't be playable in 3 months, where did you get that from. I can remember miike saying early next t year but that could be 6 months away, they won't be coming out straight away in 2018

it takes 37 dup 5* to get enough shards to form one 6* soooooooooo I am guessing it will be along time before we see any increase in 5*

Honestly if we had better 4-star drop rate off PHC, id be happy... It would make the arena grinding more fun, and actually give some purpose from farming and spinning PHC

I once in return started to flag said person for spamming every thread and ultimately received a warning for doing so. Funny enough said person does not appear to receive similar warnings for flagging others

No i'm pretty sure they said that T5B will be available before 6* are introduced into the contest. Keyword is "introduced". I don't have a screenshot of the announcement, but someone must've taken one, or remember what I'm talking about. I read it more than once from different people.

I could be mistaken, but I'm positive I'm not.

Before 6-Stars are introduced to the Contest, we do intend on releasing the Tier 5 Basics that are needed to fully Rank Up 5-Star Champions! Take a look at the post we made, because we've got more information on that in there.
