**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.
There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.

Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

Magneto name is MAX not Eric, Kabam pull "facts" from the movies?

Magneto name is Max Eisenhardt as most fans know, so why are they calling him Eric in the EQ ?
long ago before the reveal it was hinted Magneto name might be Magnus, but then they revealed it was Max so why is Kabam using facts from the x men movies instead of perhaps using marvel facts like the official handbook of the marvel universe?

What's wrong with pulling things from the movies? His helmet stopping him from being mind-controlled was only introduced in the movies yet that being in the game is ok?

what? I know magneto use his helm to focus his own ability block people like xavier, but yea it does not directly block it, but Juggernaut skull cap(his inner helmet) is made from same material as Magneto and it protect him
How come in the 90s animated series (which took things directly from the comics) Xavier was able to mind control Magneto while his helmet is still on?

Actually, he changed it to Erik. He was born named Max, but doesn't go by it in the comics.

not according to Marvel, his name is Max, but sure I can call my self Kebab if I want, but it does not mean it is my name and if Magneto officially changed his name it would be in marvel facts, but it is not.
Eric may have been an alias he used for a while? but if he had changed it then it was be his real name and Max would be his former name, but Max is his real name, not just birth name.
Erik is the alias he goes by. He is not called Max by anyone.

He is called eric or magnus by prof x and the xmen because he was under this alias when he met them. He never told them his real name.

That’s simply not true, many times in the cartoon it comes up that professor X can’t control magneto when he has his helmet on. Isn’t it at the start of the series...? Albeit a few episodes there that introduced magneto and the x-men’s background stories a bit.

The universe of Marvel Contest of Champions is not based on any one source material. It is heavily inspired by many sources, including the Comics, Film, and Television. The Contest exists in its own Universe, and while something may be true in one universe, it may not be here.

PS. This Event Quest was written by a very accomplished and notable write of Marvel Comics

    Al!

He goes by Erik in the comics too. Magnus is another alias he went by. X-men movies decided to stick with Erik for the movies. It's still the same person regardless of his name.
