2021 predictions

Next year will be year of the tech class. We've gotten few Tech champs lately and that class needs more high tier champs. Plus, with Prof X and Apocalypse powerful tech are needed to balance out the current Mutant overlords of the contest. I'd love a tech champ that gives upgrades to other tech through synergies ( could be "hacks" mechanic). #Tech2021

I think you could easily rebalance King Groot with a numbers tweak. Reduce his cooldown from 16 seconds to 12 seconds. Increase his chance to store a fury charge during cooldown from 9% to 15%.. Actual numbers negotiable, but reducing his cooldown would simultaneously improve his regen (and thus his tankiness) and also improve his fury uptime. It also reduces the amount of time to gain fury charges so adjusting the chance from 9% to 12% would basically return KB to building up fury charges during cooldown to the same rate as before. Buffing it all the way up to 15% would be increasing the average number of fury charges he gains by 25%.

So his fury/regen phases shift from 12s/16s to 12s/12s, and he would have on average one or two more furies while in the fury phase. You could tweak those numbers to make him sufficiently tanky and have enough damage to be a better than average performer. I don't think you need to give him more abilities: he has armor break and poison which is plenty, if only his numbers were high enough to make his performance comparable to peers.

I'm not sure I would want to give CW a small tweak, as there are some opportunities there to make him more interesting, but if I was tasked with rebalancing CW with the smallest tweak possible, I would change SP1 so that the four armor up buffs he gains expired sequentially rather than simultanously. That's it.

Kabam advertised Deadpool in-game w/arenas too and had an event tied to the release of Deadpool 2, adding Domino. There was also a symbiote themed event in Oct 2018 where they even advertised Venom too I believe.

Edit: I think they even advertised the Amazing Spiderman 2 when they added Electro way back in 2015 as well.

Yes. That is what I said. The champs I listed are the ones I don't think need an overhaul. KG and GG definitely don't.

The others have like 3 abilities each. You can't tweak Juggs, because he's got no foundation to tweak. I was pointing out that there were more than 6 champs in the list of overhauls, so they couldn't possibly all be done in 2021

Really hoping for Kitty Pryde finally! She has to be the biggest X-men character left now that Xavier and Apocalypse are in the game. I would love cannonball, wolfsbane, maybe a non-phoenix version of Jean Grey, Jubilee and Banshee as well eventually

The only characters that actually need overhauls are the ones that simply don't have enough text in their kit such as OG Iron Man, OG Spidey, Cyclops. Those are characters that can't be fixed by only tweaking numbers or adding an extra ability or two.

Civil Warrior, Green Goblin, and BPCW all have enough things happening in their kits already. They just need to add some damage and usefulness/reliability to their utility. That's all it took with Falcon: more damage, more reliable AAR, made his damage extra crazy against evaders so he'd have a niche to excel in.

A lot of characters I think would be fine as is, not good but fine, if their damage just wasn't trash. KarateMike just did a video showing off Karnak and it looked like he would be a pretty solid character if he just got the Falcon treatment.
