Not sure which one to unlock/invest in next, any advice is appreciated! (Side note - I am cavalier and not running suicides at this time)

Thanks in advance.

    Willpower, probably.
I don't really see the benefit in having assassin's tbh.

    I have them both.
Willpower is by far the more valuable of the two in my experience. This is enhanced even further if you chose to run suicide masteries. Assassin can be helpful, but the primary value is seen when fighting opponents with large health pools such as bosses in questing, or abyss or labyrinth.

Huh? Willpower without suicides wastes so many mastery points. It's nice to heal some in AQ and stuff, but not at the cost of all those mastery points.

You don't need to run a lot of points in assassin either. It's just under 18% of the enemy's health that it kicks in. Great to close out fights, but not worth maxing it out (I have it fully unlocked and 1-2 points is plenty).

I'm currently not running suicides but max glass cannon, despair, deep woundsand courage to maximize damage for a range of champ's like NF, doom, torch, void and colossus who benefit from throwing lots of specials.

If you run suicides, definitely need willpower, but would never run willpower with out them because the defensive tree is mostly garbage and wasting those points for a little bit of healing, in lieu of some major attack increase is crazy. Willpower doesn't do jack when an act 6 enemy smacks you. You only need it to negate suicide damage.

@The_grim3 if you already have willpower unlocked, it's debatable whether it's worth running without suicides. It requires a lot of points in defense that could be better used elsewhere and the value post nerf is real, but not amazing. I dropped willpower a few months ago and haven't really missed it. If you have never unlocked it and you aren't going to run suicides, I really don't think the benefit is worth the cost, especially when you throw in how many mastery points you have to burn just to be able to keep it open. I wonder how many people saying get willpower unlocked it post nerf without suicides. If you are going to run suicides it's must have. Otherwise it's only worth having if you already have it unlocked.
