Immortal Hulk Bug or Misunderstanding?

I was messing around in 5.1.1 (Flare Node) with my Immortal Hulk and I noticed that the damage from the degen was not being stored as gamma. His abilities say that 60% of all damage while inflicted with degen is stored as gamma, but that apparently doesn’t count the actual degen itself. Is this a bug or am I misunderstanding it? Because the saving degen damage as gamma was the main piece of utility I saw when reading his abilities, and if that isn’t how it works then he is a lot less useful than I hoped.

Can you please change the ability to read “while Immortal Hulk has a degeneration, 60% of physical damage is stored as Gamma”. That is a correct description compared to what it already states.

It also happened on incursions. I was testing to see if I could solo the boss and did not gain any gamma charges from the Lifelink degeneration.
