I’m a pretty light player, I started playing 2016 and came back late 2018 so I think I’m either at/close to my 2 year anniversary back to this game. As for how much I’ve gotten done in 2 years, it’s definitely much, but your bound to pull something good eventually which will change the way you can approach this game. I’ve had streaks of garbage and I’ve had streaks of gold but I have never really thought of quitting the game.
My roster quality skyrocketed after I finally joined an alliance.
I avoided it for too long because I did not want to be beholden to anyone else and just play on my own terms. But eventually I found a pretty casual alliance to join. We do AQ map 4 and AW but we don't obsess about our ranking. We try to win, but no one freaks out if we lose. It's been very nice and no pressure at all. They did gently nudge me into finally getting UC, which is another thing I avoided for way too long.
And honestly, in these crazy times, having my alliance mates for another opportunity for (virtual) human interaction has been nice too.
I advise any F2P players, if you have been avoiding joining an alliance, do it ASAP. It should not take you long to find one that meets what you're looking to get out of the game. Worst case, you find it is too much of a commitment and leave and go right back where you started.
I already spent too much time on the game. I can’t get them back so might as well continue. I wanted to leave and my girl said “you crazy? So much progression down the drain”
