Doom vs act 6.3.6 cap boss

Question. Does caps increased glancing prevent doom from power stealing off his SP1? Seems to work when he is below 2 bars of power but 4 times I tried when he was above 2 bars and no power steal. As well as 3 times following Doom special 3 into a SP1 no power steal. Thought his glancing just prevented crits and debuffs etc? Is dooms power steal a debuff?

It's because of the offensive AAR. Basically everything you see that Doom can do won't work when he's glanced. If you combo into an SP 3, and that prior hit gets glanced, you don't get the stun, etc. Trust me, I've tried.

My question is why did you try to bring Doom up against a CapIW boss (ESPECIALLY this one) when Mystics glance I'm pretty sure 100% of the time

Why would you bring a mystic champ to this fight. Cap has a 100% chance to glance mystic champions attacks meaning they won't be critical and due to the nodes on the boss you won't be dealing damage.

Use champs that crit a lot instead of doom.

Thx for clarification! Didn’t actually realize that all mystic glanced. My main attacker was stealth spidey. Doom I used to solely run the path and was just my last remaining champ so didn’t expect much but just didn’t understand the interaction. Def thinking ranking up hit monkey for whenever I attempt completion tho.
