Mastery cores are way too unobtainable. There needs to be a change.

I got this game during the event for Spider-Man homecoming when Stark-Enhanced was first introduced. I still have no masteries requiring a carbonadium core. Masteries in this game are overshadowed at first by crystals and the player is severely punished for their miscalculations in that department. Champions like corvus glaive and omega red are fairly useless without certain masteries and the cores are so overpriced I will maybe never see their full potential. Mastery cores need to be severely cheapened or there needs to be some reliable source of them, such as the monthly main or side events because FTP players who make unwise decisions in the early game are punished too much for it.

Just play the game and don't spend units. You can save up a lot of units and get the cores you need. I'm FTP and have 20k units atm. I run arena but I'm no arena grinder.

so then 30% of what u have and I never run arena

Cores are not meant to be something continually given away in game as rewards.

They are 1-time investments (like a college degree cost) that is normally intended to be purchased with Units. (there are rare spots where 1 might be, but that is in “static” content, not continually in new monthly content).

Also, what mastery does Corvus require (if you are a lower player, for if you are a higher level player then enough Units should have been easily obtainable by now) ?
Actually Corvus is one that benefits from guaranteed Critical Hits even without having unlocked the (for a beginner) high price of Greater Precision. Only needing benefiting by it's corresponding Cruelty branch.

And YES, don't buy champion crystals, buy Mastery instead. Until you have built them up.
