Things vs. Guardian rank up

Wondering who to rank up to 4/55, Thing is unduped and Guardian is at sig 20. I'm currently cav, my goals are act 6.2+, variants, and overall use.

How high of a sig can you get guardian too

Guardian needs to be sig 120 min. To feel the difference ..if you can't , no point in upgrading him..

Even without a lot of sig levels I feel like guardian is better than thing. His awakened ability makes it so that he can counter so many scenarios but he still has his crazy damage without it.

I don't understand this idea of Guardian being sig reliant. All he gains is sustainability. His utility and damage is all there unawakened. The only time I would say he actually needs his awakened ability is if you run suicides and need the bleed resistance.

If your goals are variants thing's the better choice.
He cheeses through variants, take him up and get the easy rewards

Guardian doesn't require any synergies to clear the content he can do (which is a good amount).

Thing can handle a decent amount, but to reach his highest potential, he requires synergies and building a team around the Thing.

His Nullify immunity really seems like it would come into play against Symbiote Supreme (on one of the Act 6 paths for exploration), but he isn't useful without synergy partner (Heimdall + others), because he can't do damage without buffs (his furies are passive).
For Thing cheese, where he can just nuke down content, he requires a full team of champions that aren't really useful on their own.

So if you like Thing, can handle building your whole team and gameplan around him, then he can clear a ton of content for you. And if you're using the Thing cheese, can handle being at lower health for all the fights.

If you're not quite as sold on Thing, ranking up Guardian lets you tackle content with a more customizable roster and allow you to take on content with Guardian and the rest of your team. I know one of the Act 6.1 chapters had a Havok that you have to face several times, which Guardian can easily handle.

Thing is amazing but he takes up the full team to make him good, whilst you got science alternatives like Cap IW who you can run by himself. I just pulled guardian and he’s super fun, and his damage is insane. Not only is he a really good champ but he also buffs the whole teams block proficiency so basically makes the whole team more sustainable
