Worst time to ask, but I can't resist (Thronebreaker question)

Let us look now aside from the current situation and let me ask: What is the point of Thronebreaker?

Seriously, I am okay with it requiring r3 6*. That makes sense, but what for? So far TB got better deals, calendars etc., but for that they don't need a r3 6*, this way these people will gather more and more of those high powerlevel characters, but what for? Only to do the same content that cavaliers can do, just easier?

It'd make sense to make some TB difficulty of quests, but if things were same as w Cav difficulty, we can't expect TB diff sooner than a year from now, and by that time TB will be drowning in 6* r3s at this pace.

So I would like to honestly, with no hatred ask Kabam: is there anything coming in the close future, that you plan to be TB-exclusive, except deals and login stuff?

I’d be surprised if there’s any Thronebreaker specific content for at least 6 months. In 6 months Thronebreaker should fit fairly neatly into the progression curve unless 6.4 is forced through with unitman.
At the moment it feels more RNG/whale because there’s less sources of T5CC and 6* shards but at the pace resources increase I don’t think it’ll be so bad then. At that point I think they’ll start considering it. At the moment it’d rub salt into a very raw wound.

I would have to assume the scaling for Act 7 will nigh require R3 6*’s and above eventually. Otherwise, what’s the point of dumping high-end materials on the TB class? An initial run of 7.1 can be done with a blend of R1, R5 and R4’s with minimal items.

It’s also simple monetization—both at the TB level (Black Friday deals, e.g.) and at the near TB level (offer at end of 7.1 completion, this weeks 8@2% T5 offer, e.g.). We are all being buttered up in different ways—some with ego-stroking and others with a knee to the groin.

But that’s nothing new with titles, in this game or others. The question you have to ask yourself is whether it’s worth spending real world money and/or slogging a weekend away on a phone game to get petted like a top customer sooner rather than later.
