Killmonger Thread

I recently got a 5 starkillmonger, thinking about bringing him to r3. But this is a serious investment for me as my resources are a bit drained right now. Any Killmonger experts that can convince me to rank him up?

He’s really great. As @Xmas-Monke said, he’s an excellent evade/auto block/armour and resistances counter with his easy access true strike. It’s probably one of the best true strikes in the game, in addition it’s passive so it can’t be nullified or removes from nodes like buffet. It also triggers from punishing specials which is super easy to do. However, it becomes even better with the winter soldier synergy as your true strike can activate on dash intercepts. This mean you can have true strike for the entire fight right from the beginning.

He’s great for stun immune, since his sp1 gives him charges that make him unstoppable when blocking, so you can easily counter attack blocked hits. He’s also got indestructible charges on his sp2 which can prevent block damage, sp3s and other. A worthy thing to note is with the BPCW synergy, you get 3 of each of these charges at the start of every fight, making him even better for stun immune and other matchups where you may need his charges.

Lastly, he’s decent on defense. The reverberation makes him a challenging defender since they’ll likely need to bring a counter. And it’s great that he gains additional power when debuffs trigger, since reverb damage is based on stored power.

So technically on defense he’s a quake counter since every time she places a concussion, he gains power. So yeah he’s decent on defense.

Other than that, he has some extra crit resistance, bleeds from crits (80% chance), and a massive bleed stack that’s dumped on the opponent via sp3 if you’ve placed over 15 bleeds, up to 50. This is a nice damage bonus in longer fights. It’s kinda similar to spider-Ham’s porker poppers placed on his sp3.

So yeah overall, he’s a solid champ. I’d place him in top 10 skill, as he’s got some nice utility and some decent damage. Great pull!

I like KM a lot. His damage isn’t OP but he can do a lot. I like champs that the SP3 isn’t contingent on the SP1 and SP2. His utility is underrated and has unique abilities built into his attributes.

He is, however, a very skill based champ. So if you’re going to invest practice a lot. He’s not top 3-4 skill champ but he’s up on the list somewhere (if you polled people this would probably be close to how the community views him).

He’s alright but there’s better. I don’t see his true strike as being easily accessible as vs some special attacks from opponents in the game push him back to far to activate it. Unless you are going to bring WS along as a sidekick,..and I personally wouldn’t invest in ranking up WS. I have him duped as a 6* and sitting at r1,..I have contemplated many a time r2ing him but I never do simply because of 2 issues I have with him.
1. Is he r3 worthy?...imo no
2. I have NF as a r5 along with Cmm and quake
...so with that trio,..he’s most definitely be sitting on the bench 90% of the time...so he’s a waste to rank up for me personally.

KM is easily worth R3. You have the NF, CMM, and Quake trio so that's a reason to... not rank him up? With that mindset, why rank up anyone?

He was my first R5, way back when he was first released, and R5 wasn’t easy to get (at all). He has since proved to be a very good counter to that 6.3.1 Medusa (counters auto block, and the sp3 deals enough bleed dmg to finish her). I think he is certainly worth R3 at 5*

Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion. I’m not knocking killmonger he’s a above average skill champ in the game right now and fun to play. My mentality is to rank up most definitely,..but I would rather rank up champs that are a bit more optimal in regards to today’s meta..., no need for anyone to take offence.

IMO I don't really like using him. He has amazing utility but hits like a wet noodle.

KM synergy with Void also opens up a lot of options where debuffs are present. He was great for Act 6 Icarus node

Killmonger is amazing. His indestructible and true strike make him an evade/autoblock countering TANK! He's suicide friendly with the Void synergy too! Even his basic attack damage and bleed stack hit pretty decent when his sig is utilized. The sp3 bleed can knock out any endgame content opponent including bosses. He really stood the test of time similar to Void and Hyperion.
