Age old question

I have a rank 1-2 gem for cosmic and have a fully formed cosmic T5CC. Do I make the move to become thronebreaker by having to rank 3 carnage or hold out for a good champ which could be a while away? Assuming gift at Christmas is also progression based as well.

of course. But yes, definitely rank 3 carnage. He’s really good, solid damage and utility. Even better with Red Goblin if you ever pull him

I think "The champion" might be a good option for an easy time in the "buffed up" chapter of the monthly cavalier event quest

You could wait as well... With these options, I think I would just wait...

WHATEVER U DO, DONT DO CARNAGE OR THE CHAMPION! GROOT IS BY FAR, THE BEST CHARACTER IN GAME. ASK ALMOST ANYONE. PEOPLE WHO DONT USE GROOT DONT KNOW THE WAY! ASK GROOT FROM THE DUELS, EVEN HE TOOK A STEP FORWARD AND EMBRACED THE ROOTS.

You'll eventually dupe carnage and you'll eventually get Red Goblin.
I Ranked 3 Man-Thing to become TB, and can tell you is worth it, even if he is not "god tier".

Carnage isn't bad. If you enjoy playing him then go for it

You phrase this like carnage isn’t already a perfectly good candidate for r3.
