Daily events - challenger vs proven or conqueror?

I just reread the September post announcing changes to daily events, but I’m hoping someone can confirm:

Is there a difference in the cutoff for units on the 22-hour event between summoner, challenger, proven or conqueror? Hero use gives units at 22425 points if you haven’t cleared act 2, and rewards max out at 34500. Does anyone have a mini to compare?

    Here’s where I’m going with this - if you’re gonna farm units off a login calendar and daily events, is it easier to just sit in act 2? If it takes more levels/fights to reach the unit milestones, wouldn’t an account like that be better off not advancing in story mode?
