In-Game chat not working

When trying to talk with my alliance or friends list no new chat appears until I restart the game. Any suggestions?

    This is a frustrating issue especially when you're trying to communicate with in game chat. I have to continously type a message then close the game app then reopen it for every message. I've tried everything I could on my end to fix it including Uninstalling and reinstalling the game just to have it continue. Its been doing it for at least a few days now.

    I've noticed the exact same issue. Unfortunately for me, restarting the game sometimes doesn't even do the trick.
