as of last year i had spent approx 3,000$ on the gifting event. this year due to the new rules i wont be spending a dime. i unfortunately didnt know about the requirement to be in an alliance prior to the event and as such i left my alliance who was now retired in search of a new home today. those who know the new rules know that this makes it so i cant get any rewards from the alliance milestones in the event. this company has gone so far down hill halting players who arent trying to exploit and just wanna play that now its gonna cost them. while i may just be a small penny to them i hope more follow this. i will never spend another dime on this game because of this.

    maybe so but i was out of town and didnt bother checking the msgs. it may be to combat the exploiters but its hurting the ppl who just wanna play and play the right way.

    and what about the other ppl. ppl who get alliance kicked by mean ppl or by some sort of mishap? they just get to lose out on all the rewards too? maybe mine was my mistake. still doesnt mean im ever gonna give this company another dime for how they handled this. there are other ways to combat exploiters than making it so that if u mess up u dont get any rewards for the entirety of the event

    I mean, it was either change the requirements or cancel the event. They requirements may not be perfect but when people exploit, things get more strict

    Yeah but we don't see them complaining. Just you who's clearly at fault.

    so far in the short 2 hr span that i was out of an alliance and learned all this i have no less than 7 friends who spend equally as me in similar situations. some got kicked from the alliances by ppl just trying to troll. some left for the same reason i did. and some got kicked by mistake by officers that thought they were someone else. clearly im not alone in this situation.

    You’re going to complain about not spending YOUR money on a game when YOU didn’t read the in game messages that are just there to inform YOU of important stuff that’s going on? My goodness man.

    Should be greatful these rules are in place knowing there isn't (any more) scum out there coming up with threats or blackmailing grandparents to read out itunes voucher codes to them.

    Another thing to remember is that they shifted more of the juicy rewards to the solo milestones and rank rewards rather than the alliance ones. This makes it so you can still get a lot of the benefit from the event without the alliance piece.

    While I can appreciate the frustration you're facing, it really isn't the company's fault that you weren't aware of the changes. They announced them well in advance. It's not a perfect solution, but there likely isn't one for this event.
