Underwhelming MCOC Holiday events

I'm wondering if it's just me but I'm completely underwhelmed by this year's holiday events. I know it's not yet over but it didn't feel like the calendar was better than last year. There is no year crystals in the Arena. Variant 6 and Act 7 dropping are nice and the bump in GGC rewards are also pretty sweet.

But right now it just feels like I was way more excited about the holiday events previously and this year it's pretty blah. I'm a casual player who won't be doing either variant 6 or Act 7 for a while, so I'm hoping Kabam has something up thier sleeves to blow us away but right now it feels a bit stale.

I believe the yearly arenas will arrive at the end of December or early January. In regards to the holiday calendar, I feel it should be progression based by now because the gap between Thronebreaker, Cavalier, and not being uncollected are all so varied and trying to balance the calendar out for all players is nearly impossible to be reasonable these days.

Exceptions to the rule aside, many past times get stale after a while.
