I honestly feel people keep hyping things up like rewards, compensation, and the gift and then they get disappointed because it isn't as great as they hyped up for it to be.
I said it in a thread a couple weeks ago that people needed to limit their expectations. Players cause half their own misery in this game by having insane expectations for things based on absolutely zero actual fact. It's crazy

Thronebreakers received a premium mobile.
Cavaliers received a low cost mobile.
So Cavalier should say thank you for it because it is free? And moreover after the Black Friday offers disaster for Cavalier?

Generic awakening gem and t5cc has no value. Even if you don't have use for awakening gem now still champions are going to be released this year

Myself as well. That's why I keep saying in these Threads I'm not anticipating anything or speculating. It inevitably leads to disappointment. Expect nothing, everything is a surprise.

What’s happened?

The original holiday calendar? Not good.
The Christmas gift? Not bad. I don’t think they deserve the same level of frustration.

Epoch shards were a hit. These GGC have had awesome drop rates. MOST of the champ buffs have been bangers and have been champions most of us already had just taking up roster space.....

As the year comes to a close I just hope as a community we can be a tad bit more consistent in where we choose our battles with Kabam. If we literally create flame posts every time we don’t get our way, then legit complaints won’t be taken seriously.

Such as:
GROOT and Cyclops need to be AT THE TOP of the overhaul list. Like, pronto.
Cav players deserve a lot more love. It’s hard out here being the middle child. Cant deny that.
Winter solider needs a vacation. We need a long term version of a practice mode. Trust me, it’s a win win for everybody.
I could go on and on...but basically, there’s a lot more places to focus our voice towards and make noise to get (positive) change.

It IS free. We didn't earn it. We didn't play any content for it, or make any purchase for it. We got it for turning the game on. If that's considered work, then your thumbs are in bad shape.

Some are pure complaints, some are constructive criticisms. And constructive criticisms are very important for the conpany too.

I have yet to see an actual constructive point of view from a Cav player. It's been nothing but "gift was trash" or "we're shafted again" and "why are we treated poorly". Even saw one person say they think Cav players should have gotten a 6* AG crystal.

Too many people think the contents of the gift have to be able to be used right now so they devalue the gift because it isn't useful right now.

Let's not pretend that anything said yesterday was constructive because it wasn't. Cav players are talking every opportunity to scream they are being mistreated when they don't like what they are getting. This is what we have to look forward to now every time there's an offer, change in the rewards structure or and event.

The real world equivalent to this whole thing is going into a place like Costco (it's the most identifiable, there are others that do this and don't charge a membership). They hand out free samples all the time. Sometimes you like them, sometimes you don't. But they are free just like the gift. You didn't do anything to get the same other than walk into the store. If you don't like the sample, you move on. You don't go to the store management and cry and complain because you feel you were treated poorly because the free sample didn't appease to you.

I’m as close to TB as you can get. Never been lucky enough to pull Aegon (I know Abyss can be done without him but no thanks). Not a fan of act 6 but slowly working through it with 6.3 and 6.4 left to explore.

Most of these Cavalier threads are cringeworthy tbh. I know I’ll get a load of disagrees but the simple solution is just become TB if you want the difference in rewards so badly.

The thing I don’t understand in the gift complaints is why people aren’t seeing the comparative value.
Yes TB got a 6* rank up but that’s farmable resource, not rare.
T5CC same for TB and Cav.
So you’re really comparing a generic 5* awakening vs x20 random 6* sig stones.
On the basis all current content can be done with 5* r5, I’ll take the generic awakening thanks.

Yeah. The gift is pretty good for Cavaliers and for TB. The Cavaliers who complain incessantly seem to have an unhealthy fixation on 6-stars that aren’t needed. You can clear all content with 5-stars, and using them, get your T5cc to R3 a 6-star that still isn’t needed to clear content.

And you got the same T5cc crystal that TB got. So you’re getting a lot more help to become TB than TB’s got to become TB.

Its like toddlers who are fixated on a toy you’ve put away that they don’t even play with.
