Hi kabam I’m sure you are aware that alot of people have been scammed through gifting event is there anyway you can fix this? I didn’t grind arena for four hours just so i couldn’t get a ggc

if u got scammed on the third year of gifting by trading with random people on global, thats on you.
have you learned nothing from the past years
you only trade with close friends, or irl friends that u actually trust

My oldest son scammed his brother with the "send me a ggc and I'll totally send you one" so now he was forced to send a ggc AND clean the kitty litter tray for a month.

Yes, I am a petty, vengeful man but life is harsh and actions have consequences.

Moral of the story, dont be a jerk because a bigger, meaner jerk will almost always ruin your day. And don't trust randos from the internet.

Not blaming Kabam for this, but it would be nice if there some form a middle ground. I’d say similar to how people have to wait in incursions for the other party member to choose champs. Do it with trades and if it’s not up to par, cancel and restart.

Otherwise it might be best to force the freeloaders to start the trade first before you send one. 🤷‍♂️

To be fair it’s a gifting event not a trading event

This isn’t a “trade event”. It’s gifting. When you send someone a GGC and don’t get something back, the actions is intended because you just gifted them.

It is trading, but does not have the expectation of getting anything in return. Although from what I (and I would imagine others too) have seen, most ally mates/friends are usually good about a fair gift exchange (ggc for ggc, or ggc for higher end resources)

Short and sweet would be don’t gift randoms

This type of phenomenon, is called global chat. During December (Start of gifting event) global chat will go crazy saying "GGC for a GGC, I AM NOT GOING FIRST. Whenever they say this. DONT ACCEPT. ALSO... if someone does accept, tell them not to. And if, someone backs them up saying its legit, still dont do it.

Only trade within your alliance and you’ll reduce the chances of getting scammed.

Don’t participate and you will have effectively eliminate any chances of getting scammed.

I traded ~200k gifting points worth of GGC with global people. Not scammed once.

So it's possible. Just going to take a decent amount of time to find the right people.
