Alliance gifting points missing

I was on my second account and I was gifting, I saw when I was there was a 5 day wait before I could claim the alliance milestones and thought that ok so when it’s up all the points I’ve already collected would be counted so I continued gifting. Now those days are up there are no alliance milestones to claim and I’ve spent all my units, did I just waist them I got around 15k points??
