Why, he functions fine. No he doesn't need to change his look to appease you. Let the devs use their resources to revamp the characters that are planned and develop new content.

Why should they change?
I personally don’t care about sp3 changing, but sp1 and sp2 animations of old champs shouldn’t be changed, because they often end up to a new animation that can’t be dexed (Cable sp1) or a new anoying animation (DDHK sp1).
Don’t forget old champs are those who are scattered across early story content of the game. They should have simple animations so the game remains newcomers friendly.
Game has more serious issues to resolve than changing old champs animations and potentially creating more.
Ghost Rider needs a tune up, not an animation change.
