How good is warlock

I just pulled a 5star warlock. I have never played him. Now that I am cav, how good is he for 6.2 and further and I have heard he lacks damage.

Shall I r5 and awaken him or shall I not. Thanks.

Rank him up, but don't awaken him

Super good. R5 worthy . No need of awakening. If you have a class gem you can awaken him otherwise not.
No he doesn't lack damage he has good damage with loads of utility.
Helpful in whole of act 6 not only 6.2.
Counter for 6.2.2 sinister and 6.2.3 omega red
