Incursion bug, Thermostat

So, I’m fighting Rocket, thinking nothing of it. I have so much practice with all of these nodes it doesn’t bother me anymore. All of a sudden, Rocket launches his sp1 and I instantly die. I’m confused, I try again... happens the exact same way again. Only this time I noticed why I died, the cold snap hit me and that’s why I die. How could the cold snap even apply in that scenario. I keep the thermostat around a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 14.

Ultimately I went incinerate immune on my CV and just push the number to 20 every time. But, why am I losing 2 champs to nothing? Is the node bugged? Am I missing something? The nodes are in the pic.
