About to get my 8th 6 star, was wondering how it would affect my incursions?

Getting my 8th 6 star tmr (from side quest), was wondering when I would unlock tier 1 and the 2500 6 star shards in the store? Would it be immediately once I unlock it or will it be when the incursions cycle reset (when the zone rewards reset) or after the 5 day period of incursions end.
